CYSTOSCOPY

Cystoscopy is a procedure that allows your doctor to examine the lining of your bladder and the tube that carries urine out of your body (urethra). A hollow tube (cystoscope) equipped with a lens is inserted into your urethra and slowly advanced into your bladder.

TRANSRECTAL ULTRASOUND GUIDED PROSTATE BIOPSY

Prostate biopsy is a procedure in which small hollow needle-core samples are removed from a man's prostate gland to be examined for the presence of prostate cancer. It is typically performed when the result from a PSA blood test is high. It may also be considered advisable after a digital rectal exam finds possible abnormality.

UROFLOWMETRY

Uroflowmetry is a diagnostic test used to measure the flow of urine during urination. The speed of urine flow is measured electronically and the flow rate is calculated as milliliters of urine passed per second. Both average and maximum flow rates can be measured.

REMOVAL OF DJ STENT

Out-patient procedure wherein a DJ stent that was previously inserted during a urologic procedure is removed under local anesthesia.

NO-SCALPEL VASECTOMY

Vasectomy is a surgical procedure for male sterilization or permanent contraception. During the procedure, the male vasa deferentia are cut and tied or sealed so as to prevent sperm from entering into the urethra and thereby prevent fertilization of a female through sexual intercourse.
